Chacma baboons

The Chacma or Cape Baboon lives in the mountains surrounding Pringle Bay, much to the amusement and dismay of residents. You will also find lots of birds and small mammals here. Even leapards have been spotted in the area. For the adventurists, conservation conscious and sporty alike, activities abound in and around Pringle Bay, which is located within a conservation area and the greater Kogelberg biosphere.

On route R44, the beautiful scenic drive between Gordons Bay and Pringle Bay lies the pristine Kogelbaai (Kogel Bay) and Dappat se Gat, a popular surfing spot.

Other popular outdoor activities include cycling, kite flying, fishing and diving. For the very brave there is >shark cage diving in Gansbaai.
